These children came to SOS Children’s Village Faridabad at an early age after losing parental care. With the sponsorship support made by CloudSteer, these children have a secure home, a loving mother to call their own, playful siblings to grow up with, quality education as well as guidance till the time they are settled in life.

About SOS Children’s Villages of India

With 52 years of committed care and service provided to once parentless and underprivileged children, SOS Children’s Villages of India is one of the largest self-implementing NGOs with pan India presence across 32 projects in 22 states. It provides direct care to over 25,000 children. SOS India has two flagship programmes: Family Based Care and Family Strengthening Programme.

(a) Family Based Care (FBC): It is a curative programme that provides a family like environment for parentless and abandoned children to grow up in. Each Children’s Village within SOS India comprises of 12-15 Family Homes, where each home consists of 8-10 children. The family is headed by an SOS Mother, who is the sole guardian of children under her care and looks after their physical and emotional needs.

(b) Family Strengthening Programme (FSP): It is a preventive community intervention programme, designed to prevent children from losing parental care. This is done by empowering children and women from poor and vulnerable cross sections of society.
